Oppo Hotspot Setting: Step-by-Step

If you want to share internet on your Oppo smartphone and you want to know how to set up Oppo Hotspot, then you can enjoy internet if the phone is connected to Oppo K13. Let’s move on to Oppo Hotspot Setting.

First of all go to “Settings

In this, you have to follow two steps. Below are details about Oppo Hotspot Setting.

  • Open the “Settings” app of your Oppo phone.
  • It can be easily found on the home screen or app drawer of the phone.

Select “Connection & Sharing” or “Other Wireless Connections”

  • After going to Settings, you will find the option of “Connection & Sharing” or “Other Wireless Connections” in some older models.
  • Tap on it.

Other Wireless Connections

To complete Oppo Hotspot Setting, you follow the first step, and then there will be an option of Connection & Sharing. If there are some old phones, then there will be an option of Other Wireless Connection; you have to tap on it.

Select “Personal Hotspot” to access Oppo Hotspot settings

Personal Hotspot

  • Now you will see the option of “Personal Hotspot” or just “Hotspot.”
  • Tapping on it will give you access to all the hotspot settings.

To access your mobile’s personal hotspot, you have to tap on personal hotspot. You will see this personal hotspot when you select “Connection & Sharing” or follow the content under the “Other Wireless Connections” heading.

Turn on the hotspot

  • Now turn on the toggle button next to “Personal Hotspot.”
  • This will make your Oppo phone work as a Wi-Fi network, and other devices can connect to it.

Turn on your hotspot. Next to the toggle button, you will see the option of personal hotspot. It works like WiFi in your phone. By turning on your hotspot, other phones can connect to your hotspot and use the internet. Once connected, whichever device it is connected to will be called WiFi.

Set Wi-Fi Hotspot Name and Password

  • Go to Hotspot Settings.
  • Here you can change the Wi-Fi hotspot name (SSID) and password.
  • Set a strong password so that no stranger can connect.

Set Wi-Fi Hotspot Name and Password

By following this step you can set the name of your hotspot. This way, whenever someone turns on the WiFi, the name of your hotspot will be displayed. If you have named your hotspot as XYZ, then XYZ will be displayed on the phone of the person who turns on the WiFi. You can also set a password on your hotspot so that not everyone will be able to connect to your hotspot. Only the person with whom you share the password will be able to connect.

Set Data Usage Limit (optional)

  • If you want to limit data, turn on the “Data Limit” option.
  • This will automatically turn off the hotspot after a certain amount of data.

Whenever you turn on your hotspot, you can first put a data limit on it. This means that just like you have put a limit of 100MB usage, the person in front of you can only use 100MB, not more than that.

View and manage connected devices

  • You can go to the “Connected Devices” section and see how many and which devices are connected to your hotspot.
  • You can also disconnect any device manually.

Whatever is given in this step, you can check it on the connected device. By following the Oppo hotspot setting, a lot of things can be known. If you have shared your password with someone and, apart from that, someone else has connected to your hotspot, then you can block or disconnect that device through your Oppo hotspot setting.

Share via QR Code (in latest models)

  • In some new models of Oppo, you can also share the hotspot via QR code.
  • Anyone can connect by scanning the QR.

Setting up an OPPO hotspot is easy, and OPPO now gives its users the option to connect to WiFi by asking for a QR code. You can connect to WiFi by asking for a QR code and can also share it with someone. This saves the time of the person in front of you who has to connect by entering the password of the WiFi code.

Set Hotspot Auto-Off

  • When no device is connected, there is also an option to automatically turn off the hotspot.
  • Go to Settings > Auto Turn Off Hotspot and set the time limit.

Set Hotspot Auto-Off

You can make your hotspot turn off automatically. Sometimes it happens that you have given your hotspot to someone, and when his work is done, he turns off his WiFi, and your hotspot remains open, but now you can do such a thing that if no device is connected within 10 minutes then your hotspot will turn off.

Conclusion

Setting up hotspot in Oppo smartphones is very easy. By following the above points, you can easily share your internet with others. Keep in mind that battery and data consumption is high when you turn on hotspot, so use it only as per your need.
